Ceremony held to mark L'Ambiance tragedy

BRIDGEPORT - A somber ceremony was held this morning at Bridgeport City Hall to mark the 24th anniversary of the deadly collapse at the L'Ambiance Plaza construction site.

A total of 28 construction workers died when a unfinished apartment building collapsed on April 23, 1987.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal and union leaders were on hand today to lay a wreath in honor of the victims.

A bell was rung 28 times to remember each worker who died that day
