Charles Smith: Dennis Rodman led North Korea trip is about basketball, not politics

PYONGYANG, North Korea - Dennis Rodman and several former NBA players are in North Korea preparing for their basketball game tomorrow to honor leader Kim Jung Un's birthday.

Also on the trip is Bridgeport native Charles Smith, who played for the New York Knicks.

Smith and the other players say it is not about politics, it is just basketball.

Officials in the U.S. have criticized Rodman's efforts.

It is his fourth trip to the country.
