Charter school proposed in Bridgeport by Great Oaks Foundation

The plan gives priority to Bridgeport students in whose first language is not English. (1/29/14)

BRIDGEPORT - A proposal has been filed with the state to open a new charter school in Bridgeport.

The Great Oaks Foundation, a non-profit group that has created charter schools in New Jersey and New York, would like to lease the  Bridgeport Trade and Technology Center on Barnum Avenue.

The plan gives priority to Bridgeport students in whose first language is not English.
