CHESHIRE - The Connecticut doctor whose wife and two daughters were killed in a brutal home invasion in 2007 is said to be thinking about going into politics.

Dr. William Petit's sister says he recently talked to Republican party officials about running for Congress.

The state currently has no Republicans in Congress.

Petit and his new wife are expecting a baby in December.
