Child struck by a car in Stamford

Stamford police are investigating after an 8-year-old child was struck by a car. Police say it happened on Glenbrook Road Wednesday evening.

STAMFORD - Stamford police are investigating after an 8-year-old child was struck by a car.

Police say it happened on Glenbrook Road Wednesday evening.

They say a 40-year-old Fairfield woman was driving when she hit the child who was crossing the road.

The child was taken to Stamford Hospital with  injuries to the ribs, leg and head.
