NEW CANAAN - Those looking for a chocolate bunny fix this Easter should stop by Belgique Chocolatier, located on Elm Street in New Canaan. One of the owners, Pierre, part of a husband-wife team, has created a 3-foot, 23-pound chocolate Easter bunny.

The $210 masterpiece can take several hours to create and is more than an inch thick. Pierre's wife, Susan, says the easiest way to take a bite of the bunny is to get a clean cloth and a hammer, and slowly break pieces off.

A recent survey by Nielsen shows Americans spend about $500 millionon candy during Easter Week and 70 percent of that was spent on Easter chocolates.

Belgique Chocolatier also has smaller chocolate bunnies for those who prefer less chocolate.
