NORWALK - A church community gathered Thursday to light a Christmas tree in memory of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting last year.

Leaders and parishioners from St. Paul's on the Green gathered to light the tree, decorated with glass ornaments that have the name of the victims on them.

The tree was decorated by Cindy Stravers.

Many attending the ceremony said they were thinking of the victims' families.

Organizers say one of the ornaments has the name of the shooter on it as well. They say this is to encourage forgiveness.
