STAMFORD - A man with a talent for tobacco has come from a farm in the Dominican Republic to become the cigar czar at a specialty shop in downtown Stamford.
Maximo, or Max, as he's called, is the man behind the main attraction at the Connecticut Cigar Company Lounge. He says he's been hand-rolling cigars for 40 years.
Lounge co-owner Nick Castinelli says that what Max does isn't easy, and adds that the company's success is proof of his customers' appreciation.
Max rolls, cuts and molds some 300 cigars each day.
