NORWALK - Norwalk city officials took a walking tour of the South Norwalk business district this morning to hear residents? ideas for improving the area.

Mayor Dick Moccia says city officials want to make the historic area around Washington Street safer, more customer-friendly and better equipped to compete with similar business districts.

Matt Storch, owner of Match restaurant, says he would like the city to do a better job directing people to public parking lots.

Moccia says the city will add signs to help direct traffic to local lots, fill potholes, install new street lights and put more officers on the streets.
