REDDING - Four days after Irene swept through the area, Connecticut Light and Power said today that about half of the town of Redding is still without power.

CL&P officials were at Town Hall as residents voiced their frustrations about spending days in the dark.

CL&P says it is doing everything it can to get power restored to the area, but their main priority is safety.  The utility says it has a time of restoration estimate for several local communities on its website.
