HARTFORD - Connecticut Light & Power says it has more crews ready to handle this year's winter storms.

CL&P Spokesman Mitch Gross says 170 contractors are ready and available.

Right now, they are working on repairs and upgrades related to Tropical Storm Irene and the October nor'easter.

CL&P was criticized for not having enough workers to deal with the outages following those two storms which left hundreds of thousands of customers without power for days.
