CL&P to close Greenwich service center

Connecticut Light and Power says it is planning to close its service center in Greenwich by the end of the next year. That means all

GREENWICH - Connecticut Light and Power says it is planning to close its service center in Greenwich by the end of the next year.

That means all issues handled by the Greenwich crew will be transferred to Stamford.

The company says it is part of a consolidation effort to save money and will not impact service.

First Selectman Peter Tesei says he is working on setting up a meeting with CL&P in hopes of stopping the move.
