STAMFORD - Crews were out in Stamford Monday cleaning up the Scofieldtown park area.

Nearby residents have been concerned since contaminants started showing up in the water of home near the old landfill.

A group of about 30 city workers removed junk, including old tires and rusty engines, from the site.

Many neighbors say they want the city to a do a more thorough cleaning, including the soil at the site.
