NORWALK - The rescue efforts for a missing kayaker from China have been reopened after Coast Guard officials located his boat this morning.

Coast Guard officials closed the search yesterday after being unable to locate the 33-year-old Fengquan Guan or his boat.

Coast Guard officials say the boat was located off the west shore of Long Island.

Officials say Guan was reported missing Sunday by a friend he was visiting.
