NEW HAVEN - An Air Force colonel from New Haven will finally be laid to rest this week 45 years to the day after he was reported missing during the Vietnam War.

The Pentagon says Francis McGouldrick Jr. crashed in Laos during a mission on Dec. 13, 1968.

The U.S. and Laos governments worked together to locate the crash site.

McGouldrick's remains were identified using DNA technology.

He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday.
