College student scares off would-be robber

Fairfield police say an attempted burglary was broken up when a college student woke up to see a man with a gun on his lawn

FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police say an attempted burglary was broken up when a college student woke up to see a man with a gun on his lawn Wednesday night.

Police say the would-be robber had already removed a TV, PlayStation and coffee maker from the Bailey Road home when he was spotted.

The student said he woke up because he heard a loud noise. He said he yelled from a window at the robber who took off leaving the stuff he'd taken on the front lawn.

Fairfield police urge anyone with information to call them at 203-254-4800.
