Community groups collect school supplies for children in need

Community groups in Norwalk are teaming up to collect supplies for students in need. The Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition and the Community Prevention Task Force

NORWALK - Community groups in Norwalk are teaming up to collect supplies for students in need.

The Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition and the Community Prevention Task Force are collecting backpacks and other supplies for kids living in the Washington Village and Roodner Court public housing complexes.

Organizers say they hope to collect 250 backpacks by next Friday.

School Supply Donations

The Community Prevention Task Force, a program of the Human Services Council, is proud to support the Tenant Association in Norwalk, CT in their efforts to provide their school-age residents with backpacks & school supplies for the 2016-2017 school year.

Backpacks (priority need) Pens, Pencils, Erasers, Crayons, Rulers, Highlighters, Notebooks, Pocket Folders, Pencil Cases, Calculators

Donations can be made Monday through Thursday 9am-5pm at the following locations:
