Community helps victims of Shelton fire, building collapse

SHELTON - Shelton community members are donating food, water and clothing for the dozens of people left homeless following a fire that destroyed a building downtown on Monday.

Five people were injured and 25 were displaced in the fire and building collapse on Howe Avenue.

Officials say they're still investigating the cause of the fire.

Anyone that wishes to make a donation can drop off items at the Echo Hose Fire Station on Coram Avenue.
