STAMFORD - A Stamford man is facing serious drug charges this evening after admitting to smuggling more than 40 bags of heroin from New York City.
Police arrested Kendall Sistrunk on Tuesday after monitoring him for some time using video surveillance. They say he would buy the drug during daily trips to The Bronx and would smuggle it onto Metro-North trains back to Stamford.
Detectives say Sistrunk bought the bags for about $6 each and then sold them for an additional $14 in Connecticut.
When authorities finally questioned him and threatened to perform a strip search, he admitted to possessing 44 bags of heroin, which he then handed over to the officers.
