STRATFORD - Families across southwestern Connecticut struggled for a second day to find day care services for their children amid the partial shutdown of the federal government.
The federally funded Head Start program, which has branches nationwide, has temporarily closed its facilities in Norwalk and Stamford.
Some parents say they can't afford the hundreds of dollars required each week for local child care.
