BRIDGEPORT - The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services in Bridgeport held a staff meeting Tuesday following two shootings outside the facility.

Those who attended the meeting say that some employees don't feel safe coming to work on Central Avenue. Others are concerned that police officers at the facility can not carry guns.

DMHAS administration said in a statement that it will review the staff recommendations expressed at the meeting.

In the meantime, their officers have increased patrols of the campus's perimeter. Bridgeport police have also stepped up patrols in the area.
