NORWALK - A new tax will have Connecticut residents paying more at the pump.

Connecticut's petroleum gross receipts tax will go up 4 cents per gallon, beginning Monday. Diesel gasoline will also go up in price by 3.7 cents.

State lawmakers say the hikes will bring in an extra $60 million a year.
