NORWALK - Norwalk police say a construction worker was hospitalized after being hit by a car Wednesday morning.

Police say the accident happened at about 8:30 a.m. on Butler Street. Police say a driver made an illegal U-turn and hit the construction worker at a site where Norwalk is having a storm drain fixed.

According to police, the victim has been released from the hospital and the driver, 41-year-old Michael Bourgoin, of Wallingford, was ticketed.
