Construction workers plan demonstration in Stamford

STAMFORD - ? Construction workers are planning a rally in Stamford Friday afternoon to protest hiring practices at the Stamford Harbor Point Waterfront Project.

The group claims the developer is hiring out-of-state workers for the project, rather than using home-grown labor. The rally is set to take place at the corner of Pacific and Belden streets.

Several hundred construction workers are expected to attend.
