Cops: 2 men rob Stamford gas station

STAMFORD - Stamford police say they are searching for two men following an armed robbery at a local gas station early this morning.

Officials believe one suspect waited outside in a getaway car while the other went inside the Gulf Express on East Main Street at around 2:45 a.m. They say the man leaned over the counter and demanded cash.

Police say the man was caught on surveillance camera, but his face was covered. They also believe the getaway car, a red Honda, was found shortly after the robbery.

No one was hurt and it's unclear how much money the men were able to steal.
