Cos Cob couple claims mountain lion sighting

COS COB - Just days after a Westport couple said they saw a mountain lion in their backyard, a couple from Cos Cob says they encountered a mountain lion Thursday.

Sue and Pat Clark say they saw the feline on a hill on Bible Street while driving home. After searching the nearby woods with family members, the Clarks say they discovered some tracks, but didn't see the mountain lion again.

An expert from the Beardsley Zoo says seeing mountain lions in the area is possible, but there is no evidence of a mountain lion population in the state.
