Costa Azzurra in Milford still recovering one year after Sandy

MILFORD - One year after Sandy hit southwestern Connecticut, many residents and businesses along the shoreline are still recovering.

Costa Azzurra, a restaurant on the Long Island Sound in Milford, was severely damaged by the storm.

The owner says it was closed for nine days after Sandy hit.

High winds and flooding ruined the inside of the restaurant and caused more than $100,000 in damage to the building's exterior.

The owner says the restaurant still has to replace some railings, complete some landscaping and add paint.
