REDDING - Crews are trying to clear and reopen roads in Redding today, three days after the town was devastated by the late autumn snowstorm.

Out-of-state power company workers are expected to arrive shortly to help CL&P restore electricity.

About 70 percent of the town is still without power, down from nearly 100 percent right after the storm.

The company says it is working to restore power as quickly as possible.
