Crews move snow to beach parking lots as cleanup continues

BRIDGEPORT - All the snowfall has presented a challenge to crews who spent Friday removing it from the streets.

Trucks have been hauling loads of snow to a parking lot on Park Avenue in Bridgeport.

Officials say the city utilizes five different beach parking lots so that trucks aren’t dumping all the snow into one neighborhood.

Crews and city leaders say the biggest challenge this winter has been the cold weather, because very little snow has melted.

They are also asking for the public to help shovel sidewalks and clear fire hydrants.
