NORWALK - Snow-plow crews are preparing for the overnight winter storm, which is expected to bring a mixture of snow and sleet.

In Norwalk, Mayor Dick Moccia says crews will be heading out around 8 p.m. to pre-treat the roads with salt.

Officials say that while the recent storms have cost the state plenty of budget dollars, they say their first priority is clearing the roads.

Moccia also says he is organizing a snow-removal volunteer group made up of people who want to help out senior citizens.
