NORWALK - The parents of a Greenwich man who disappeared on his honeymoon cruise five years ago say they reached a new settlement with the cruise line today.

According to officials, George Smith IV was presumed dead after apparently falling from a balcony on the Royal Caribbean Cruise ship he and his wife were vacationing on in the Mediterranean.

Smith's parents say that as part of the renegotiated settlement, the cruise line has agreed to release documents that could finally provide the information needed to figure out what happened to their son.

His parents also say they will receive money from the cruise line, but the amount is less than the costs of their legal bills.
