WESTPORT - The Connecticut Audubon Society said today it is banning the use of drones at all of its sanctuaries.

The organization says the remote control aircraft can disturb animals and annoy visitors.

The Audubon Society sites multiple studies that have found drones can cause higher stress levels in animals.

The group has 19 sanctuaries in the state, including in Fairfield, Westport, Weston, Redding and Milford.
