STRATFORD - A Stratford man says he is outraged after someone threw a box of Altoids mints at him Tuesday.

Richard Maynard, 56, says he was parked on Main Street with his window rolled down when someone threw the box at him from a passing school bus. According to Maynard, an eyewitness told him somebody was deliberately trying to hurt him.

Maynard says he had just recently undergone reconstructive surgery on his face, and that the metal box struck him next to his eye.

Maynard has filed a police report in connection with the incident.
