NORWALK - Connecticut's movie and entertainment industry is in the spotlight today after two big boosts this week.

First, NBC Sports announced it will be moving from New York to Stamford.

Meanwhile, the General Assembly passed some film tax credits.

Since the state first established the film tax credit in 2006, 45 movies have filmed in the Norwalk and Stamford area.

The Connecticut Film Center attributes the tax credits for peaking producers interest in the area.
