CVS store bandit caught on surveillance tape

BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police believe one man is responsible for at least four robberies at southwestern Connecticut CVS drugstores ? and possibly a fourth.

Two Bridgeport locations were robbed Friday, a Norwalk store Monday and a Monroe store Tuesday night. Police say the robber ? who was caught on surveillance ? waits around registers, pushes cashiers aside and grabs cash.

"He didn't try to hide his identity ? both instances he came into the store when there were customers in the store, so he's very, very brazen. We don't know what the next step is going to be," says Bridgeport Police Lt. James Viadero.Police fear the bandit might up the ante and start robbing stores at gunpoint.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Bridgeport detectives at 203-576-7621.
