WESTPORT - Spinning enthusiasts took to their bikes today for a good cause.
They rode as a team at JoyRide Cycling Studio in Westport for a fundraising event called Cycle for Survival. Organizers say they raised almost $42,000, and it will all go to rare cancer research and clinical trials at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Many participants have been touched by cancer, and they say this fundraiser was especially important to them.
Organizers say the Cycle for Survival program has raised more than $20 million since 2007.
