WASHINGTON D.C. - Police in Washington D.C. are investigating the death of the former chief of staff for Connecticut Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro.

Officials say Ashley Turton, a Washington lobbyist and the wife of a White House adviser, was found dead inside a burning car in her garage yesterday.

Turton worked under DeLauro for seven years before leaving in 2007.

She is survived by a husband and three children.
