DANBURY - Danbury community members gathered to remember a woman on the anniversary of her death.
Rachel Sack, of Bethel, was the victim of a hit-and-run accident last year in Danbury. She was crossing the street near South Street and Great Pasture Road when a white utility van hit her and left the scene. The driver has never come forward.
Sack used to work as a certified nurse's assistant at the Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut. Family and friends gathered there Friday to remember her. Sack's friend Stephanie Ewud described her has a kind, compassionate person who was full of life.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for anyone has information about the driver. A vigil is also being held at 5 p.m. Saturday at the scene of the accident.
