DANBURY - An openly gay Danbury High School student became the first boy at his school to ever be crowned prom queen.

Nasir Fleming, 17, says he wanted to push a message of acceptance to everyone and show that people do not have to fit into specific gender roles. He posted the prom video to YouTube, where it has since gone viral with people in favor and opposed to his stance for equality.

Fleming says he's happy his message has gotten across to so many people.
