Danbury murderer sentenced to 50 years

DANBURY - The man convicted of killing a well-known Stamford chef has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for the crime.

Marash Gojcaj heard his fate yesterday for the murder of his uncle Zef Vulevic, better known as Joe Vuli, inside their Danbury restaurant in 2004.

Police say Vuli was shot twice in the back of the head before his body was chopped up and dumped in plastic bags in Bedford, New York.

Gojcaj maintains his innocence and plans to appeal.
