DARIEN - The Darien High School freshman football coach arrested last week for DUI has filed a complaint with Norwalk police.
Police say Christian Garnett, 32, was swerving and driving on three tires on Connecticut Avenue Thursday morning. Officers say Garnett failed sobriety tests while being belligerent and aggressive. They said they had to Taser him twice.
Garnett’s attorney says he wants an explanation as to why his client has a black eye. Chief Thomas Kulhawik said physical force is required sometimes, but his department will investigate the claims of excessive force.

The chief said all of the officers and Garnett will be interviewed. He also said Garnett's medical records from his hospital stay will be reviewed.
Garnett is currently on paid administrative leave from Darien High School. He will appear before a judge Tuesday morning on charges of DWI, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
