DARIEN - A young brother and sister are being hailed as heroes by Darien police after saving their baby sitter's life back in January.

The police department says it plans to honor the two children involved in a special ceremony later this week.

Police say Tucker Stoops, 10, and his sister Nina, 7, called 911 when their baby sitter collapsed and started to have trouble breathing. They say the two kids remained calm and helpful while they waited for police and emergency workers to arrive.

The officers who responded to the 911 call say even for professionals, the presence of mind the children showed would be difficult to improve upon.

Meanwhile, the baby sitter says she's doing just fine.
