DARIEN - A man police say is responsible for 15 vehicle break-ins in Darien was arrested this weekend after a police chase through Norwalk.

Darien police say Javier Soliz broke into 15 vehicles this past weekend, stealing various electronic goods. According to authorities, the 19-year-old Soliz crashed his car on I-95 Sunday morning after the chase started in Norwalk when police recognized the stolen Subaru he was driving.

Soliz has been charged with first-degree larceny, reckless operation, engaging in a police pursuit and theft of a license plate. He's being held on $50,000 bail. A court date has not yet been set for Soliz.
