DARIEN - Darien officials are freeing up dozens of parking spots in the lot on Grove Street for daytime shoppers.

The 57 spots were previously reserved for people with annual commuter permits.

Town leaders say those spots will be free to park in, at least for now.

Permit holders who had those spots will be re-assigned to parking near the train station.
