BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport man was arraigned today for allegedly robbing the S&K Market and shooting the store's owner in the leg.
Davon Eldemire, 20, was charged with robbery, first-degree assault and carrying a pistol without a permit.
Surveillance cameras recorded the attempted robbery and struggle on Tuesday. The store's owner, Aslam Khawaja, says he is recovering and back to work. He says it is still hard to stand, but he's grateful to be alive.

Regular shoppers at Khawaja's store say this is the fourth time an incident has occurred at the location, but that it's the first time a firearm was discharged.
Officers say Eldemire was already out on bond and wearing a GPS monitor. They say he was previously arrested in July for a shooting at the Puerto Rican Day Parade.
Eldemire is being held on $1.5 million bond.
