Deadline extended for tornado victims

BRIDGEPORT - The victims of last month's Bridgeport tornado have more time to file for aid.

FEMA has granted the state's request for a 30-day extension to assess the damage.

The new deadline for the state to file a major disaster declaration request is Aug. 23.
