HARTFORD - Connecticut lawmakers are holding a hearing today to discuss a bill that would repeal the state's death penalty.

Last year, a similar bill to replace the death penalty with life imprisonment failed in the Senate.

Gov. Dannel Malloy has said he would sign legislation abolishing the death penalty for all future cases.
