STAMFORD - The state Department of Education now says it plans to keep Wright Technical High School in Stamford closed until 2014.

The school closed after the end of classes last year for what was supposed to have been just two years.

The state now plans to extend that closure another two years to allow the building to be renovated.

Local officials say they're concerned the building will fall into disrepair before renovations start, but the state says it will maintain the property in the interim.
