HARTFORD - State Democrats and Republicans shared their reactions today after Gov. Dannel Malloy delivered his State of the State.

Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle agreed that there needs to be a discussion on gun control.

Several Democratic legislators applauded the governor's plans for energy and education. The legislators also said they feel he is on the right track to reduce the state's budget deficit.

Republicans, however, said Malloy had a "revisionist's history" when it came to the last two years and said the state is not better off now than it was when he took office.
