DiMeo deliberations enter 4th day

FAIRFIELD - Today marks day four of deliberations in the trial to determine if a man should get the death penalty for killing a husband and wife in their Fairfield jewelry store.

Chris DiMeo was convicted by the same jury of killing Tim and Kim Donnelly in 2005.

During yesterday's penalty phase of DiMeo's trial, the jury sent two notes to the judge; one said they were deadlocked on one of the factors in this case.

This prompted the prosecution to ask for a mistrial, but the judge denied that request and told the jury to continue deliberating.
